Welcome to the Salad Bowl Garden!
Bringing the farm to the people
Located in front of the Plant and Environmental Sciences building at UC Davis
The Salad Bowl Garden is planted in six small plots totaling 600 square feet in front of the Plant and Environmental Sciences (PES) building. It is run by a group of volunteer students, faculty, and staff, and eaten by anyone. Beyond the immediate benefits of nutritious, fresh vegetables, the garden gives students and the campus community an opportunity to actively participate in sustainable living and learn the methods of appropriate food cultivation in a multi-use setting, while enhancing the esthetics of the building entrance.
